Do I need a floor drain for the Smart Potty?
It works best near a floor drain, where the hose sends pee straight away. No drain nearby? Use a urine reservoir, which collects the liquid until you empty it.
Won't the potty smell?
Pee drains away instead of sitting in a pad, and the materials are non-absorbent and easy to rinse, so odors don't build up. A weekly wash with mild soap keeps it fresh.
Does it work for dogs who lift their leg?
Dogs who squat use it as is. For leg lifters, add a splash wall that guides pee into the tray and down the drain.
How do I train my dog to use it?
Place a used pee pad on the grate so your dog recognizes the spot, then make it a little smaller every day until it's gone. Praise and reward every success.
How long does shipping take?
